Washington Depot, CT: Level I is an entry-level workshop accessible to anyone with good health
and mobility. Over the course of
this 5-day workshop, Pilobolus master teachers open the inner world of the
Pilobolus collaborative creative process.
In this playful, group-driven, physically challenging and fun workshop,
you will become familiar with Pilobolus signature principles of productivity,
and learn to use the company's method of collaborative composition. Throughout
the workshop we will investigate solo and group improvisation and individual
and collective performance technique. Training
in dance is not required although a reasonable degree of fitness is advised. Participants
are expected to be physically energetic and prepared to move
enthusiastically. If you are
interested in serious play, or want to be in touch with your creativity, if you
are looking to improve your ability to work effectively in a group, or if you
want to think more quickly on your feet, then this workshop is for you. It will be fun and deeply challenging. Open to participants ages 17 and
up. Tuition: $550.00 does
not include transportation, room or board, This Workshop includes a trip to the
Joyce Theater in NYC to see Pilobolus perform at the Joyce and meet with the
dancers. A deposit of $100 is required to reserve a place. Enrollment is
limited to 30 participants, please register early. Housing
