Job Description: Pilobolus Temporary Project Manager

The Opportunity:

Pilobolus is seeking an intelligent, fast-moving, good-humored, and motivated Project Manager to manage a range of exciting and diverse projects.


Responsibilities include:

- Facilitating internal communication among Artistic Directors to push projects forward

- Overseeing in-house collateral and documentation

- Interfacing with domestic and international presenters, including fielding of special requests and editing/approving marketing materials (copy and visual)

- Managing development of new company website, including liaising between freelance designers and developers and internal Pilobolus creative team

- Marketing special summer programs, including summer workshops in CT and summer performances at Joyce Theatre

- Managing social media

- Managing in-house editor/videographer, including scheduling and content development

- Scheduling and advancing client-commissioned projects for stage and screen

- Creating and managing project budgets

- Managing intern

- Performing other duties as assigned



- Bachelor's degree in liberal arts or business administration; 3 years of producing/project management experience

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone

- Familiarity with budgets and budgeting

- High-level of proficiency and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Google docs and Outlook.

- High level of interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion and responsibility

- Ability to assess and manage multiple competing priorities and work well under pressure; Excellent time management, problem solving, and analytical skills; Ability to complete multiple projects successfully

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Position requires continual attention to detail in all aspects of the job
