Pilobolus Creative Services
Pilobolus Creative Services was founded in 1997 in response to a growing demand from the commercial world for first-rate movement services. Now, with a staff of four choreographers and a versatile company of world-class dancer-athletes, Pilobolus Creative Services creates original work for advertising, film and television, special corporate events, and fund-raising galas.
The activities of PCS are unusually diverse. The company has made television commercials for Mobil, Toyota, Opel, Seibu, Hyundai, Bloomingdale's and General Motors, created special live events for such corporations as IBM, United Technologies, Dupont, Merck, DDB Needham, Comcast, Sunrider International, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Mailboxes, Etc., Procter & Gamble, Palm, TAP Pharmaceuticals, Philips and the T.E.D. Conference, and presented gala performances for Joe Boxer, Marithe Girbaud, MAC cosmetics, and Krizia.
Pilobolus Creative Services has also choreographed for and performed in a music-video with Marilyn Manson, produced a scripted performance for the annual meeting of Hadassah, and created a new piece for Radio City Music Hall's legendary Rockettes. The company produces work for alternative spaces and has created a full-scale work in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine as a fund-raiser for the Cornell/Weil Medical Center, as well as choreographing for and performing on ice for an NBC skating spectacular with Brian Boitano. In February 2007, Pilobolus gave 6 acclaimed brief performances during the 79th Annual Academy Awards and on May 10 was featured in a special segment of the Oprah Winfrey Show. Pilobolus Creative Services also works in publishing and has created still photography for many publications, including Twisted Yoga and our newest production with Roaring Brook Press, The Human Alphabet, on sale now at your local bookstore.
